These terms govern your use of startup13.co and our public-facing materials. Paid engagements are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW).
"Startup13," "we," "us" or "our" refers to Startup13 Studio, the entity operating startup13.co. "You" or "User" refers to any visitor or client.
You may browse the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
All content on this site — copy, code, logos, illustrations, motion — is owned by Startup13 or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may quote up to 80 words for editorial purposes with attribution. Anything more requires written permission.
For paid engagements, IP ownership is set by the SOW. The default: you own the deliverables once paid in full; we retain rights to general methodologies, templates and any pre-existing tools we bring in.
Project quotes are valid for 30 days. Engagements begin once a signed SOW and the first invoice are received. Late payments accrue 1.5%/month. We reserve the right to pause work on accounts over 30 days past due.
We treat all client information as confidential. We sign your NDA on request, and we have a standard mutual NDA available on the first call.
The site is provided "as is." We make no warranties as to uptime or fitness for purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability under any claim arising from the website itself is capped at $100. Liability for paid engagements is set by the MSA, typically capped at fees paid in the preceding twelve months.
You agree to indemnify Startup13 against claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.
We link to third-party sites for reference. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or policies.
We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached. Engagement-level termination is governed by the MSA.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in our MSA (or, for site-only matters, the jurisdiction where Startup13 is registered). Any dispute will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
